There are two discharge and two suction ports in the conical distributor each aligned in the opposite direction.
During the first phase of rotation, gas is sucked into both chambers inside the casing and in the next phase; the gas gets compressed and is pushed out of the discharge port. This action continues with the third, and the fourth phases of rotation and the radial forces that originate due to the rotation of the impeller and the compression of the gas due to suction and discharge allow the liquid ring compressor system to work in a balanced manner.
